Team One Lucury Events, Event Director
I began my love of event planning over 15 years ago when I began planning customer events at the Day Spa I was working with. I loved the creativity I got to tap into to make fun and engaging events. I then had the privilege to work with an amazing team in creating and planning a charity event to raise funds for ST. PJ’s Children’s home in San Antonio. This event taught me truly how much I love the event industry. Because of this, I made the decision to change careers and go into event planning full time.
I went to work with a company in San Antonio and began working with couples on planning their perfect wedding day. It was there that I also got to work on different kinds of events such as corporate events, private parties, quinceneras/ sweet sixteen parties and much more.
Weddings have always held a special place in my heart. It is such an honor and privilege to work with couples as they plan their perfect day as they join their lives and families.
In 2018 I became engaged and was excited to plan our wedding. It was after our wedding in 2019 and during our honeymoon, that my husband I made the decision to venture in to the event industry once again.
After looking back on our day and seeing what we wished we had done, not done, and what we wished we could have done, we realized that there was a need we could serve. Affordable customization. No two events are the same. Everyone needs something different. Why should you have to settle for something that you don’t necessarily need or want.
This became even more apparent during this year as I watched several brides have to replan/ reschedule/ cancel their special day. A day that they dreamed about and had spent so much time on creating. What could I do to serve them in an already crazy time?
